A new show exploring improv and AI.

Recently, prominent scientists have called for the development of AI to be paused. Are our worst fears coming true? Is it too late to make a difference? What are the positive possibilities of AI? Is it going to put artists out of work? Does it want to work with us or against us? And what role will it play in a unique, hilarious, mind-bending evening of live entertainment?

One celebrity guest actor — the experience of a lifetime…

Featuring:

  • Adam Meggido (Showstopper, Mischief Theatre)

  • Lee Simpson (Improbable Theatre, Comedy Store Players)

  • Ruth Bratt (Showstopper, Comedy Store Players)

  • Piotr Mirowski (Improbotics)

Come and join us for the first ever try out of this wonderful new experiment.

Produced by Showstopper Productions Ltd and Improbotics.

In addition to the Olivier Award for Best Entertainment, it also won the Broadway World Audience Vote for Best Comedy at the Edinburgh Festival 2017 and a Chortle Comedy Award for Best Improv, Character or Sketch 2016. The London Fifty Hour Improvathons

I imported the London Fifty Hour Improvathon from the wonderful Die Nasty players of Edmonton, Canada, in 2008, and it has played here annually ever since. Some players stay awake for all fifty hours, resulting in an extraordinary and euphoric playing style.

The Society of Strange

For those who think improvisation is only comedy, The Society of Strange aims to spook, unsettle and disturb. The Society has gathered in Norway, Canada and Italy as well as some unusual and atmospheric locations in the UK.

Ken Campbell

I met legendary theatre maverick Ken Campbell in 2004. He suggested I join him for five classes in eccentric performing in a north London squat. My life changed completely. I worked closely with Ken until his death in 2008. It was an education as well as a thrilling collaboration. We played Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and The Royal Court among many others. Out of this developed projects such as Rhapsodes and The School Of Night.

Nina Conti in Therapy

In 2018 I improvised eight therapy sessions with ventriloquist and comedian Nina Conti.
